Triathlon/Duathlon/Aquabike
The triathlon starts with a 500 meter serpentine swim in the Ohio University Aquatic Center. The first 5k run leg of the duathlon starts at the 50 yard line of Peden Stadium. After the swim event triathletes will exit the aquatics center and follow the sidewalks to the transition area inside Peden Stadium. The bike course travels west on the Hocking Adena Bikeway and exit near Eclipse in The Plains before returning back on 682 and reconnecting with the bikeway. After returning their bikes to the transition area, runners will exit through the Southeast corner of the stadium and head east on the Hocking Adena Bikeway. Runners will continue along the Bikeway which includes scenic views of the Ohio University Golf Course and the Hocking River. The turnaround point on this out and back course is near the Stimson Avenue Bridge Street. Runners then head back to finish where they started.
